Miss “A” 2010 Pinckney High School Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Busy week it was here with seniors! Miss “A” from Pinckney was so much fun to photograph! She definitely loves the camera, which makes my job so easy!

I have been able to really play with light during the sessions I have had this week, sun-flare and streaming sunlight!

With the Lollipop picture, we had the nice owners of  Oh My Lolli come out and ask if we wanted to use something for pictures! UM YEA!! Except none of us had any cash to buy anything so we couldn’t take off the wrapper lol. Still a cute picture and what a fun store! If you  have ever seen fudge made it is like that, you can watch them making candy!

Thanks for a great session “A”!

Miss “O” & Henry; 2010 Detroit Country Day Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Last Sunday I met “O” and her parents at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club to photograph her with her horse Henry.
Taking pictures with horses is definitely tricky I have learned these past 2 years. I never knew how important it was to have their ears up, but quickly learned that last year when photographing a few seniors with their horses.
Now you think this may be easy, but it is like photographing kids.. the parents are by me waving their hands, shaking keys, offering treats lol
some of this not working at all. After several attempts, Henry decided to perk those ears up and I was able to catch him!

We then went to photograph Miss “O” at her home for the rest of her session. She has the most beautiful eyes!
It was such a pleasure to meet you and your family!!

Miss “A” & Lola; 2010 Bendle High School Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

I love when my seniors have their own ideas, I mean I have lots of them too but sometimes they have different ones then I do!
As you know I am mainly an on location, natural light photographer but I do have an in home studio space. So Miss “A” wanted to try out a few of her ideas and we gave it out best!
I loved her old phone ( which many of you probably have never even seen!) and the best part… her puppy Lola. She was the cutest. I was seriously cracking up because I never “say cheese” to any of my clients, it just isn’t my style. Lola LOVES cheese, and so they would give her a bit to have her sit and then I would say “LOLA, CHEESE!” and she would look at me! SO funny!!

Miss “A” also bought this incredible hot pink dress and ROCKIN hot pink & Black shoes for her session. OMG they are sooo cute!

Lots of fun we had! It was great to have her friend “M” and her mom with us as well. Hope you guys had a great time!

Miss “K” 2010 Detroit Country Day Senior{Michigan Photographer}

Meet Miss “K” who is a 2010 senior at Detroit Country Day. We met up at Cranbrook, and with a rocky start trying to find parking we ended up getting some amazing photographs of her. She is stunning, and such a natural with the camera.

Thank you mom for helping out, I enjoyed meeting you as well!! Treasure these sneak peeks of your senior, they are only seniors once!

Kalee 2010 Davison High School Spokesmodel {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Kalee is one of my 2010 Spokesmodels from Davison High School. This was a session to complete her senior pictures. Boy we had fun! I loved her colorful jackets and pretty much anything she wears is cute!
Kalee is also a Davison Cheerleader as well as on the Panther’s Competitive Cheer team. Let me just say this girl is BUSY! and extremely talented. I know mom and dad are hoping she gets a cheer leading scholarship to college!
My daughter and Kalee hit it right off, they both really liked each other ( prob not if they were real sisters lol). Kalee was so nice to spend some time with Karli on her cartwheels, jumps and back walk over ( learning all these teams since looks like I am going to be a cheerleader mom)
Thanks again Melissa and Kalee!~!!

Miss “J” 2010 Waterford Kettering Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Last week was a busy one so I am a little late blogging this session. I am loving all the seniors from Waterford Kettering! I think it is great that they want to come up here to me for something different. Your senior pictures are supposed to be about YOU not the same backdrop as everyone!

Miss “J” is a basketball player but you sure can’t tell in these pictures! She looks so comfortable in her dressy outfits. Great personality too! Thanks for a great session.

I will be photographing her boyfriend who plays hockey next month.

Miss “S” 2010 Waterford Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

I am a bit behind on blog posts so make sure to check back tonight for a few more seniors! This was a busy week!

Miss “S” was a lot of fun! She looks very much like Selena Gomez ( I think I watch too much Wizards of Waverly place with my kids).

“S” has the best smile, she is very natural and we laughed a lot! She plays a lot of softball, so I took a twist on the normal laying shot to include her glove and a base!

You will be seeing her again later next month when we photograph her family.

For any senior that I have photographed this season I will do a complimentary family session if you would like!

Double Bubble Miss “J” 2010 Waterford Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Meet Miss “J” a 2010 senior at Waterford Kettering High School!

Miss “J” is also into photography and shoots sports for the yearbook at her school. She was up for anything which I totally love! When I saw her I instantly had a vision of this last picture with the bubble gum.

I had a bag full of double bubble left from our weekend up north, grabbed two hair tyes and asked her if she would be up for some playful pics at the end of her session. I was excited that she was game!

As you can see she is so beautiful and made my job really easy!! I will have to say that I experienced some sort of future flash while shooting her, I envisioned my own sweet Karli in the future looking very similar to Miss “J”, which of course made me sad to think someday I will be taking my own daughter’s senior pics! thankfully it will be at least 10 years away!

So… anways we had a lot of fun, and let me tell you double bubble is hard to get a good bubble! several attempts and I just fell in love with this last picture of her!

2010 Waterford Kettering Senior Miss “K”{ Michigan Senior Photographer}

Did you know that it is totally ok to bring family and friends to your session? As long as you feel comfortable, and it is not a distraction it works for me!
Miss “K” had her entourage with her, mom, sister, aunt, cousin ( who were all super helpful by the way THANKS!!!).

Miss “K” is a 2010 Senior at Waterford Kettering High School. She was very easy to photograph which made everything go smoothly! Her blue eyes are AMAZING!
I love the new locations we discovered ( and not the one we didn’t !!!! inside joke)

Hope you love your sneak peeks!!

2010 Swartz Creek Senior Mr “A” {Michigan Senior Photographer}

I don’t often get the opportunity to photograph many guys, not quite sure where they all go? I think a lot of them just do not get senior pictures taken. When I get the opportunity to photograph them it is always a nice change!

Mr. “A” is a 2010 senior at Swartz Creek High School. He is on the football team (you would never guess that with those muscles! ha) and really has a great personality. I swear I did not think I was even going to get to shoot much since he and his mom kept cracking each other up!

Needless to say we did get some great shots. We will be doing some football pictures on another date, so you will see him again!!
