Top 5 Portrait Photographer in Detroit – 3rd Place {Michigan Senior Photographer}

I woke up this morning with a CONGRATULATIONS on my facebook from a fellow photographer! I was so excited to learn that I tied for 3rd place in the Best Portrait Photographer in Detroit contest!

WDIV Detroit 4 ran a contest this summer called 4 The Best to find the best businesses in southeast Michigan.  The contest drew a huge response and 180,490 votes were cast.

I am so honored to have been named in the Top 5 !!!! There are some amazing photographer’s in Michigan so I feel just blessed to have the clients I have!

Miss “K” 2010 Detroit Country Day Senior{Michigan Photographer}

Meet Miss “K” who is a 2010 senior at Detroit Country Day. We met up at Cranbrook, and with a rocky start trying to find parking we ended up getting some amazing photographs of her. She is stunning, and such a natural with the camera.

Thank you mom for helping out, I enjoyed meeting you as well!! Treasure these sneak peeks of your senior, they are only seniors once!

BUSY BUSY! Scheduling Updates….

BUSY BUSY BUSY! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful 2010 seniors that have booked with me this year! I am truly thankful and love meeting all of you.

I currently am booked through until October 21st. I will only be taking a few more sessions in October and will be booking some seniors in November as well.

Just a quick picture from tonite, this is Paige my 2010 Spokesmodel from Waterford Kettering. She has done such a great job this year!!

We did another session for her tonite and she agreed to let me play with some lighting. I have been wanting to do this shot for almost 2 years and finally got up the nerve to do it!!

Kalee 2010 Davison High School Spokesmodel {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Kalee is one of my 2010 Spokesmodels from Davison High School. This was a session to complete her senior pictures. Boy we had fun! I loved her colorful jackets and pretty much anything she wears is cute!
Kalee is also a Davison Cheerleader as well as on the Panther’s Competitive Cheer team. Let me just say this girl is BUSY! and extremely talented. I know mom and dad are hoping she gets a cheer leading scholarship to college!
My daughter and Kalee hit it right off, they both really liked each other ( prob not if they were real sisters lol). Kalee was so nice to spend some time with Karli on her cartwheels, jumps and back walk over ( learning all these teams since looks like I am going to be a cheerleader mom)

Miss “J” 2010 Waterford Kettering Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Last week was a busy one so I am a little late blogging this session. I am loving all the seniors from Waterford Kettering! I think it is great that they want to come up here to me for something different. Your senior pictures are supposed to be about YOU not the same backdrop as everyone!

Miss “J” is a basketball player but you sure can’t tell in these pictures! She looks so comfortable in her dressy outfits. Great personality too! Thanks for a great session.

I will be photographing her boyfriend who plays hockey next month.

Grace- 2010 Senior Spokesmodel Linden {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Miss “L” 2010 Fenton Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

 Meet Miss “L” a 2010 Fenton High School Senior!
What a fun session we had, Miss “L”‘s mom and I went to school together ( which totally makes me feel old) so it was a blast to catch up on our lives over the past years.
We were able to photograph “L” in the auditorium where she feels most comfortable. She has such a beautiful gift of musical talent and I loved hearing her sing as we photographed her!

Miss “J” 2010 Linden High School Senior {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Meet Miss “J” a 2010 Linden High School Senior!  We had a great session minus the mosquitoes ( man they are terrible this year!!).

Lots of laughs and fun during “J”‘s session! She has beautiful  blue eyes and killer eyelashes!! No fake eyelashes here, I am so jealous!

I often have other photographers ask me how do you get their eyes so bright, or to pop?

Good exposure, and using a reflector. I always use a reflector to make sure their is enough light in the eyes. ( * I put parents to work and they usually love their job!)
